Local Color managed to squeeze in one last painting workshop during finals at an incredible event called Creactive the other weekend.

Amy Lind Studio Visit

SCAD Alumni, Amy Lind, welcomed Local Color into her incredible studio last friday!

Studio Visit: Professor John Rise

Local Color visited Professor John Rise's studio on a beautiful day. The overcast clouds filtered the harsh light allowing the light in the studio to achieve perfection.
Thank you Karen and Professor Rise for a wonderful tour of your home and studio!

Varnish Workshop

Professor Walton will be giving a workshop on how to Varnish oil and acrylic paintings, an important skill not often taught in the painting department.
Come to learn how to revitalize your paintings, protect and preserve them!

Jack Whitten Workshop: SCAD Museum

The Jack Whitten workshop went wonderfully on Saturday afternoon! We worked with kids to make Jack Whitten inspired paintings using his raking and combing techniques. It was a lot of fun and wonderful to spend some time in the sun!
Local Color would like to give a big thank you to Rachel Evans at the SCAD MOA for inviting us and organizing this awesome event!

Jack Whitten SCAD Museum of Art Workshop

What: Local Color has been invited to volunteer and work with children at the SCAD Museum of Art. We will be assisting with helping kids make Jack Witten inspired paintings using his techniques.

Where: SCAD Museum of Art

When: March 30th, 2013
The workshop is from 1-4:00 on the MOA lawn. We will spit into two shifts, from 1-2:30 and 2:30-4:00. When you rsvp please email swoolh20@student.scad.edu with the shift you would like to work!

Bring: Wear clothes you don't mind getting messy in! Also please arrive 15 minutes before your assigned time.

Meet at the Hive Coffee shop (Weston lobby/ SCAFE) at 6:00, We will leave at 6:15!
